Kensington Palace recently marked Princess Charlotte’s ninth birthday by sharing a new photo of her, taken by her mother, Kate Middleton. The UK royals expressed gratitude for the warm wishes received, attributing the image credit to the Duchess of Cambridge.
Princess Charlotte, the only daughter of Prince William and Kate Middleton, holds a special place in the royal family as their second child. Her brothers, Prince George (10) and Prince Louis (6), complete the trio of siblings.
Kate Middleton, who describes herself as an “amateur photographer,” has captured several memorable moments of her children over the years. Notably, she took the first official photo of Princess Charlotte alongside her brother Prince George back in 2015. These photos, often shared by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, mark significant milestones such as birthdays and Christmas.
Recently, Kensington Palace also shared a photo of Prince Louis on his sixth birthday, also snapped by Kate Middleton at their Windsor residence.
However, Kate Middleton’s absence from public view following a surgery in January sparked speculation and conspiracy theories about her health. Amidst the conjecture, a “manipulated” photo of her with her children was mistakenly circulated by Kensington Palace, causing controversy.
Addressing the confusion, Kate Middleton clarified that, like many amateur photographers, she occasionally experiments with editing. Subsequently, she revealed that she was undergoing chemotherapy for cancer, expressing the difficulty of explaining the situation to her children while reassuring them of her well-being.
As the royal family navigates through personal challenges, the bond between parents and children remains paramount, with Kate Middleton’s commitment to openness and reassurance evident in her heartfelt message to her young ones.
